Worry Lines
The concept is illustrating my anxieties and negative thoughts in a minimalist way - the thoughts of not measuring up, not being enough, feeling overwhelmed, being trapped by my own thoughts, and trying to break free. With this project, I started out with a lot of ideas and overthought them all. I wanted to try direct animation and decided to stop thinking so much and just throw some stuff on the film. I planned to digitally overlay photos on the film but discarded it when my tests did not give me the look I wanted. It looked like two different styles smashed together (not in a good way). After that, I went back to my first idea of minimalist renderings of these thoughts to pair with the film.

Doors - WIP
The concept of my animated short is idioms where the literal meaning is visualized, and the metaphorical meaning is audible. Each section of the film is animated in a different way. The idioms are about life and the intent is to show a journey from one not being invested in their life to achieving their dream. Learning to animate in various ways and tie each section together was fascinating and challenging. The film is still a work in progress (WIP).

Feeling Scrabbled
This stop motion film animates scrabble letters that are having some strong feelings. Songs used were for educational purposes and do not belong to me.
